Milton Glaser was born in New York City in 1929, and is a highly recognised graphic designer in the United States of America winning many awards. His work was inspired by the colourful and vibrant area where he was born. Milton Glaser was inspired by Giorgio Morandi – an Italian artist who concentrated on still life paintings. However, he was the first Graphic Designer to win the “National Medal of the Arts” award in 2009.

As well as this, he provided us with many famous designs such as the “I ❤️ NY” Logo, and a psychedelic poster of Bob Dylan’s side profile. He also created logos for some DC Comics. This work impacted society enormously and facilitated the “Pushpin Studios” Organisation in 1954. Furthermore, in 1968, he helped aid in the production of the New York Magazine.

Milton Glaser is extremely well known for his excellence in condensing wide concepts into one image. As well as this, he is able to create a narrative in designs using simplicity and adding his unique style throughout his artwork.
